Training Centers

The Institute has established three Sub-centers on approval of Executive Council. These are as follows:-

Pahalgam (Institute HQ):Located at Nunwan one km short of Pahalgam market on the bank of river Lidder, accommodated in four buildings viz office complex cum Principals residence, students Hostel, Dining cum lecture hall, Library and staff accommodation. Facilities of STD booth, canteen and souvenir shop as well as outdoor sports like volley ball, football and badminton are available in the Institute's complex

(a) Capacity :100 Trainees in Dormitories

(b) Courses offered :Mountaineering, High Altitude Trekking, Rock Climbing, Water Raffting, Rappelling, Trekking Expedition

(c) 40-50 intented accommodation

Sub Centre Nalthi Bhaderwah:Located at Nalthi seven kms from Bhaderwah market on Bhaderwah Bani road, accommodated in four pre fabricated buildings viz office complex cum Principals residence, students Hostel, Dining cum lecture hall, Library and staff accommodation. Facilities of STD booth, canteen and souvenir shop as well as outdoor sports like volley ball, football and badminton are available in the Institute's complex.

Sub Centre Sanasar-Patnitop-Kud:Located at Kud on Jammu Srinagar National Highway No. 1, four Kms short of Patnitop accommodated in JKTDC Bungalow No.2 viz office complex cum Principals residence, students Hostel, Dining cum lecture hall, Library and staff accommodation. Facilities of STD booth, canteen and souvenir shop as well as outdoor sports like volley ball, football and badminton are available in the Institute's complex.

Sub Centre Shey (Leh):Institutes land has been allotted at Shey Leh on Sindhu Ghat twenty five kms from Leh market. Efforts are on to get approval for construction of infrastructure at the earliest.

Adhoc Sub Center Gulmarg: The skiing destination for many adventurous of the world, located at 65 kms from Srinagar, having world class snow slopes ideal for skiing . The courses are run in hired accommodation it being adhoc sub center functional during winters only.
